Due to the recent outbreak of COVID19 and in line with Government guidance we are taking steps to ensure the safety of all our staff and our clients.  Please rest assured that we continue to offer a full service.  The Lord Chancellor yesterday gave a direction which in effect and for the time being closes all Courts for “non urgent business”.   There is currently no definition of non-urgent business.

Clients who are on bail and have Court cases listed in the next 7 days should contact the office the day before they are due to appear in Court to ensure their matter remains in Court.   For those family members of our clients in custody, our understanding is that their cases will be dealt with in Court but by way of video link hearings.  The Lord Chief Justice has previously indicated that all Trials which are scheduled to take place in April which are to last more than 3 days should not take place.  We advise our clients on bail that they are still under a lawful duty to surrender to the custody of the Court on their Court date but ask that they contact this office the day before they are due in Court for further guidance.

Our telephone lines remain open, we continue to provide a full service at the Police Station.   Should any of our clients be in any doubt then please contact the office by telephone.   A reminder our office telephone number is 02920450600, our out of hours emergency number is 07860483378.

Please stay safe.
